Hikari Calyx Tech was founded

Back then, Hikari Calyx Tech was known as Hikari Calyx Instruments, which was inspired by a leading chip fabricator. Later we found Hikari Calyx Tech fits better.

Unofficial Bootloader Unlock for HMD Nokia Phones

the_laser, Leader of SETool has released the very first unofficial bootloader unlock method for HMD Nokia phones.
With the basis he made, we eventually expanded the availability of bootloader unlock to more models.

HMD was unwilling to release bootloader unlock and the mind has not changed yet. We had profitted from selling bootloader unlock services to our customers until 2023, mainly due to most of customers lack experiences of Android customization.

51nb is a leading laptop mod forum. To enhance its influence, we rebranded Hikari PE Project into 51nb PE.
The cooperation lasted until the pandemic.

Bootloader Unlock for Nokia 8.3 5G

After HMD terminated contract with FIH Mobile for smartphones manufacturing, it had decided to cooperate with various of ODMs.

However, with leaked prototype unit from ODM, we discovered the bootloader unlock method for Nokia 8.3.

Many years later, more and more prototype units are leaked, and their existence has brought freedom to their final revision.

Permanently Free Bootloader Unlock for legacy models

After the development of our own service tool, we decided to make Bootloader Unlock for previously released models for free of charge.

We believe either HMD Global Oy or FIH Mobile no longer care them, and less and less users are still using them. Besides, we want to give something back to the open source community such as Lineage OS, Postmarket OS.

Hikari Calyx Tech is an independent organization, and not affiliated with HMD Global, FIH Mobile, Nokia Corporation, Motorola Mobility LLC, Lenovo Group Ltd or Microsoft Corporation.
All packages provided in our name are provided “as is”. Therefore, we cannot feedback or assist you for fixing bugs on existing devices.

Calyx Institute and CalyxOS are totally unaffiliated to Hikari Calyx Tech.
